Spring TD

A Tower Defense game where the trees have to fight off the bugs.

4 different types of trees:

normal tree : average fire rate and damage

big tree : big damage, but shoots slowly

pine tree: small damage, shoot quickly

splash damage tree : medium damage and fire rate but deals splash damage.

You will also encounter 5 different types of bugs: flies, ants, butterflies, ladybugs and finally beetles across 15 manually made waves.

Unfortunately I couln't finish the game :/ It is still playable though.

This was my first time making a tower defense game, and I think I was too ambitious. In the end, I didn't have the time to even add evolutions, so there are only the 4 base towers. It is very much a draft right now so I'm not expecting good results, but maybe I will continue working on this properly. I couldn't really incorporate the evolution theme, but the plan was that you could then evolve the trees to have unique attributes like ignoring enemy armor, slowing down, burning, stunning... No sound.

I also didn't have the time to make it a web build (which is kinda hard with LÖVE2D), so it is unfortunately just a windows download.

To run, download the zip, extract it and execute Spring_TD.exe (ignore windows warning).

No AI was used for the code or artwork.
